After lunch visit the Agra Fort built in red sandstone with its magnificent palaces, halls of public and private audience and the beautiful gardens. This is where Emperor Shah Jahan was kept under house arrest by his third son Aurangzeb and spent the last year of his life viewing the Taj Mahal from across the river Jamuna.

Visit to a marble factory to see the beautiful inlay of precious and semi precious stones into the marble.

Day 01. Delhi–Sariska(180kms)
Morning receive you from Delhi Hotel and straight drive to Sariska, upon arrival Check into the hotel, after having some rest proceed to take Evening Jungle Safari in Sariska, dinner & over night stay at hotel.
Sariska Tiger Reserve is well nestled in the Aravali Hills covering 800 sq km area divided into the grasslands, dry deciduous forests, sheer cliffs and rocky landscape. Whether you want to have camel safaris, go out for shopping in the surrounding places, visit medieval palaces or wildlife watching; Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary is the best place for you.
Nearly 90% of the area in the sanctuary is covered with dhok trees accommodating various wildlife species. A variety of other wild animals like the leopard, sambhar, chital, nilgai, four-horned antelope, wild boar, rhesus macaque, langur, hyena and jungle cats are found in the Sariska Tiger Reserve apart from the tiger. The Sariska National Park is home to India's largest population of peafowl, and harbours quail, sand grouse, golden- backed woodpeckers and crested serpent eagles, among other species. Also the Siliserh Lake on the edge of the park has a large number of crocodiles.
The Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary houses the ruins of medieval temples of Garh-Rajor that date back to the 10th and 11th centuries. Also a 17th century castle on a hilltop at Kankwari provides a panoramic view of flying vultures and eagles. The Sariska was declared a sanctuary in 1955 and attained the status of a National Park in 1979.

The Sariska Tiger Reserve is home to a number of carnivores including Leopard, Wild Dog, Jungle Cat, Hyena, Jackal, and Tiger. The herbivore category in Sariska includes Sambhar, Chitel, Nilgai, Chausingha, Wild Boar and Langur. Sariska wildlife sanctuary is also known for its large population of Rhesus Monkeys.
There are also many bird species in Sariska Tiger Reserve, namely; Peafowl, Grey Partridge, Bush Quail, Sand Grouse, Tree Pie, Golden Backed Wood Pecker, Crested Serpent Eagle and the Great Indian Horned Owl. Special Attractions in Sariska Wildlife Sanctuary.

Siliserh Lake & Palace

Alwar
The city of Alwar is situated at a distance of about 36 km from Sariska. Rao Pratap Singhji of Macheri founded this city in 1771 to serve as his capital. The main attractions of Alwar include the hilltop fort, a place, a number of temples, a beautiful garden, the local museum, etc.

Jaipur
The origins of the beautiful city of Jaipur can be traced back to the eighteenth century, during the reign of Jai Singh II who ascended the Amber throne in 1699. Amber Fort Palace
Amber is the classic romantic Rajasthani fort palace. Its construction was started by Man Singh I in 1592, and completed by his descendent Jai Singh I. It's forbidding exterior belies an inner paradise where a beautiful fusion of Mughal and Hindu styles finds it's ultimate expression.

Hawa Mahal
The ornamental facade of this "Palace of Winds" is a prominent landmark in Jaipur. Its five-storey structure of sandstone plastered pink encrusted with fine trelliswork and elaborate balconies. The palace has 953 niches and windows. Built in 1799 by Pratap Singh, the Mahal was a royal grandstand for the palace women.

The Taj Mahal is a world famous monument

Shah Jahan for his beloved wife Arjumand
Bano Begum, famous as Mumtaz Mahal. The

Material Used in Construction |
|
Materials from all over the India and
parts of Asia were used to construct Taj
Mahal. It took a fleet of 1000 elephants
to transport it to the site. The white
marble was brought from Rajasthan, the
jasper from the Punjab, and the jade and
crystal from China. The Lapis lazuli from Afganistan,the turquoise was from Tibet,
the carnelian from Arabia and the sapphire
from Sri Lanka. Over all 28 different
types of precious and semi-precious stone
were used along with white marble. |
